Ketteringham Hall Angling Club Minutes of the AGM for the Kettering ham Hall Angling Club  The meeting was held in the Lotus sports & social club, Hethel on Wednesday 15th April commencing at approximately 7.30pm15 members attended.Chairman Mark Howard opened the meeting. The meeting started with the entire committee standing down, All the previous year’s committee were prepared to stand again and this motion was carried Mark Howard – Chairman, Annette Howard – Treasurer, Simon Mortley – Secretary Other non-exec. members Sean Harvey, Barry Green & Stuart Pearson were voted for & seconded to join as non-exec members for another year. The treasurers report on the 2008/9 season was read showing the club was still in a reasonably healthy position.Details of the full financial report can be seen at the request of the Treasurer. The club announced that we had managed to aquire the lease for the Grove, Cheshire Home, East Carlton along with the continuation of the Ketteringham Hall lake, With the combination of the two lakes the membership level & cost of club membership was discussed. The club still has a capped membership of 50 members, so with the combination of the two lakes the cost of membership was to be reset, previous years, one lake was £25 , with the two lakes a levee of £70 was agreed and seconded. With the continuation of the one-off payment of £10 for new members. The renewal dates for existing members was kept at 1st June & new members, if spaces available, would be on a first come, first served basis & would be closed on the 10th June. Cost of the Public liability insurance was also discussed as the club now has 2 lakes, No figures for quotes were available as the Treasurer was meeting with the insurance company the following day  The condition of the lake was again discussed the chalking that was done earlier in the season seems to be working with some sections of the lake showing at least 6 – 8 inches of extra depth, To keep some colour in the Ketteringham Hall lake, it was decided not to use any barley straw this year, it is hopes that weith more colour in the water the weed growth may be stemmed a little. Future chalking and stocking of the lake was discussed but would be defered for another year and also larger weed rakes which would tackle the weed from the lake bed would be made up .No formal notification of any Veterans matches had been forwarded at the time of the AGM.Work party dates were set for Ketterngham Hall  Saturday & Sunday 6th & 7th June & there would be two Friday work parties at the Grove, Cheshire Home for Friday 29th May & Friday 12th June . Any Other Business:News letters were discussed, but as there was little activity in the previous year in the way of fishing, there was no information to pass on. This hopefully will be changing this season with a possible quarterly or half yearly news letter being published. No other issues were brought up so the meeting was called to a close.
